Brwa Vahabpour

Brwa Vahabpour (b.1993) is a Kurdish Norwegian filmmaker who graduated from The Norwegian Film School in 2018. He won Nordic Talent’s honorable mention in 2018 for his feature project “SILENCE”. Vahabpour has directed award-winning short films and was also episode director on the TV-drama COUNTRYMEN, which premiered at Canneseries in 2021 and won two prizes. The series is also ranked as one of the best series in 2021 by Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. His latest film is MY UNCLE JENS (2025) selected at the SXSW.
